We dedicate ourselves to preserving historic transit vehicles from across the Commonwealth of Virginia and beyond, educating citizens on the legacy of public transportation, and supporting our local community.
Schedule a VisitThe Commonwealth Coach and Trolley Museum preserves historic public transit vehicles and artifacts from Virginia and beyond. By restoring these beautiful coaches and maintaining archives, we protect a vital piece of our collective industrial and social history.
Beyond operating as an educational resource, our mission extends directly into the community. Our restored operating fleet proudly assists regional non-profits and community events, keeping history active, tangible, and useful today.
At CC&T we have a collection of more than twenty vintage transit and motorcoach buses, dating as far back as the 1950s.
Although we have running and operable buses in our fleet, many have yet to enter the restoration process. If you would like to help us acheive our goals of bringing more of our fleet back into operation, please consider making a donation to the museum!
